Missing a couple of bits to be a true wartime spec but not bad as it stands.

I've commented on the cross head screws on facebook and also asked for photos of the mags separate...
I've heard comments that the butt plate is far too thick, but didn't comment on that myself. I was trying to be enthusiastic.
What other things are wrong?
As I said nothing drastic. Lock bar for the sight and, though its hard to tell from the pictures, I think it is a later pattern trigger guard.
I'm no expert but they are things I look for in a wartime Garand.

I would expect there to be compromises over some details but looks good for airsofting which would be its primary function? Looks better and as accurate as anything else currently available though?
Too right, these little details wont stop me having one if they shoot well.

Yup, it's good for airsofting... well assuming the mags are okay.
However I do look for good for re-enactment as well.
The most glaring problem is the butt plate, the easiest to fix is the bolts.
Looks exactly like what I see people with Garands at re-enacting things carrying.
Then again I bore quickly of such things so would never have noticed the head of their screws.
Looks good, but I am not even sure why there are any screws on the front handguard ferrule, let alone cross heads. (First pic.)
It may be better than anything else for airsofting and if I didn't already have a Garand I would be figuring out how to afford one, but you sort of wonder why, if they go to the trouble of making an iconic WW2 rifle at all, they don't get the "little details" right and use post war features. Are they pitching it at all the Korean War airsofters?
So a M*A*S*H 4077th airsoft game? The only person with a a rifle is the corporal in drag on guard duty and the rest of us just drink martinis and stick our hands in people's stomachs?
Sounds good to me!
Who's volunteering for the "table" then?
Ranj, it's a problem that almost all the manufacturers have.
Even the HP Ppsh, which is pretty much perfect as far as I can see has cross head bolts. (mine doesn't anymore).
Some do go get it right, my Zeta Labs Mosin-Nagant fooled experts until they cocked it, only the hand guard being slightly thinner than the real deal had them wondering.
The fact is we will always find fault in the guns. (Same goes with repro uniforms and kit.)
To be honest this is better than most. Remember the 1928/M1A1 hyrbid tommy guns?
The proof of the pudding will be which, between this and the G&G, is best for skirmishing...
I don't care about the screws, I only noticed them because I fitted a real ferule on mine and I know it has no screws. my point is that it is just as hard to make a post war spec Garand from scratch as it is a wartime spec. They pobably went out and bought a real garand and copied it and thought they had done an amazing job. I would use this for airsoft or reenacting, I am just surprised at all the effort they have gone to without actually getting it right. Like when the mars mission failed because the ESA used metric and NASA used SON units.
Still no word on release date???

Release date, "possible to leave as early as the end of the year".
Also there's photos of the magazine. 23 rounds and looks a bit chunkier than the G&G. I have no idea if it'll fit in a cartridge belt. It may do, but if it does then it'll be tight.
got to love chingrish translations, had to read most lines about three times haha
going to be a tight fit to get 23 rounds into that magazine looking at it

Rotating mechanism as Oxygenating bolt, while rotating a little port is opened, the hop dial appears. Dial is difficult to loose hop drum type. Take a hop clockwise, counter-clockwise loose hop. Since the body is attached to the top of the hop dial is easy to adjust hop while actually shooting. ♪ This is hard to have the way and at the same time cause the bolt handle back and forth will be operating rod back and forth at the bottom of the body. It is fine gay! Mr. ICS, is nice. As well as a real gun, with respect to Safety is a lever in front of the trigger will the ON / OFF. ICS also shines And here's Kodawari.
